Orange Launches own branded Orange Tokyo

Orange is jumping on to the self-branded mobile phone bandwagon by unleashing the Orange Tokyo. Together with the Orange Berlin, the Orange Tokyo is one of the two gadgets to appear in a range of mobile phones named after major cities in the world. The only other network operator to have done the same is O2 with their O2 Cocoon and O2 Ice. Realizing the great potential behind producing a mobile phone brand, Orange is expected to wow the crowd with the affordably priced Tokyo, available on Pay As You Go for a mere £79.99.

The Orange Tokyo can be considered an entry level mobile phone, and owners will love its basic but necessary features. The dual-band Tokyo mobile phone lets users take reasonably good photos with the 1.3MP camera as well as the self-portrait mirror. You can then save your photos either using the Tokyo’s internal 0.7MB memory or an optional 512MB microSD card. The mobile phone screen is rather compact and measures 1.3 inches with 128 x 160 pixel resolution. You will be glad to find that you can email and browse the Web WAP-style once outdoors.

That said, mobile phone aficionados will love the Orange Tokyo for its sheer compact beauty and delicateness. Weighing only a mere 68g with the dimensions of 92mm x 35mm x 14.5mm, owners will find that this mobile phone is a joy to hold as it fits nicely on the palm. The key pad is small but ergonomic while the black and silver casing makes the Orange Tokyo look very stylish and chic.
